Captain Scott Gordon is a life-long waterman who has grown up in the waters of South Carolina.

He has over 20 years experience navigating the creeks, rivers, and sounds surrounding the Beaufort area, including St. Helena Sound and Port Royal Sound.

He frequents Fripp Inlet, Trenchard’s Inlet, and the waters up to 6 miles off the barrrier islands and in the Atlantic Ocean. As a licensed USCG captain, he is First Aid and CPR trained. He also holds a US Powerboating Safe Powerboat Handling certification

Scott’s sailing experience began with racing small sailboats in the Beaufort River. He has been a licensed and certified US Sailing Instructor since 1999 and has taught a wide range of ages how to sail. He has taught aboard everything from single-handed sailboats to dinghies and keelboats. He developed and taught the curriculum for adult sailing classes with Junior Sailing of Beaufort. He has also piloted up to 37-foot keelboats in the near-shore waters from Wilmington, NC to Jacksonville, FL.

Captain Scott is available for boat deliveries and private boating lessons. If you are new to the area and just acquired a boat, he can help you become more comfortable.
